Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Time and motion study.
- Discrete event simulation and modeling with statistics knowledge base.
- Conduct time and motion observation study on the production lines for various line performance related study.
- Process mapping and understanding for discrete event simulation modeling.
- Identify data source, and define data requirements to be ready for modeling.
- Develop simulation model through configurations or coding as required. Interpret model output to address to the questions to be answered and provide recommendations.
- Identify right approach in optimization methodology to solve complex network logistics and manufacturing problems, including data collection, model building, solving and reporting out. Interpret output to provide recommendations to meet objective.
- Build data flow and analysis data using ML algorithms
- Communicate and participate in technical information sharing and foster discussion on new methodologies in solving operational problems.
Required Skills:
- Previous ILE internship or industry project experience.
- Hands-on experience on discrete event simulation modeling and analysis (FlexSim, ARENA, or other simulation commercial software).
- Fundamental industrial engineering understanding and knowledge (ie. Time and motion study, factory physics, production performance metrics definition and calculation …etc).
- Knowledge or experience in capacity planning & analysis in manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge in statistics and use of data analysis tool such as Python, R, SAS, SPSS or Minitab.
- Able to understand CAD drawings.
