Key Responsibilities

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Conduct process improvement experiments and manufacturing studies. Statistics analysis of manufacturing and experimental data to find process upset root causes and appropriate solution. Utilize data analysis techniques to reduce cycle time, improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce loss, and implement improved processes and new products.
  • Process engineering study and implementation of final products, final inspection, data collection, and quality controls to meet customer specifications.
  • Develop new finishing capability, defining and analyzing finishing performance, process capability and requirements, co-work on stage 2-3 testing and stage 4-5 technology migration.
  • Transfer technology to divisions and manufacturing plants with full implementation of training and documentation systems (Standard Operation Procedures, Process Set-points and Training)
  • Job requires periodic travel to Corning Incorporated and vendors locations in Asia and USA for process development of new products, new operation and process improvement projects. • Increase customers’ awareness of process control efforts, methodology and process analysis techniques.
  • Work with research, development and manufacturing teams for new processes and product development and introductions.

 

Required Skills:

  • Fundamental understanding of glass, ceramic and glass ceramic physical properties and defect analysis / understanding skills.
  • Skill in quality EEx tool application, like MEE, DOE,DMAIC 6 Sixma, SPC tool for experiment design, process analysis and continue improvement.
  • Minimum 2 years in project management and involve in process development, optimization and improvement.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese.

  • Able to work independently and directly with project customers to scope out project scope, identify project requirement and deliverable, satisfy their objectives and timelines with a minimal amount of supervision.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environment; be a change agent to help another trough change.
