Role Purpose
The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to improve process capability, yield performance, quality, and operational efficiency. This role supports both existing manufacturing operations and new process development through data-driven analysis, systematic problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
The successful candidate will work with global engineering and manufacturing teams to identify process improvement opportunities, support new product introductions (NPI), enhance manufacturing capabilities, and enable scalable, cost-effective production solutions. The position requires strong technical fundamentals, hands-on experimentation capability, and the ability to translate engineering concepts into practical manufacturing applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing operations by monitoring and improving process performance, yield, throughput, and quality metrics.
- Analyze process variation and identify opportunities to improve process stability and operational efficiency.
- Design, develop, and validate manufacturing process solutions that meet product and business requirements.
- Conduct process characterization studies to establish process capability and operating windows.
- Design and execute engineering experiments using sound statistical and scientific principles.
- Support product and process qualification activities related to NPI programs.
- Collaborate with development, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain organizations to ensure successful project execution.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Equipment Engineering, Supply Chain, and Research organizations.
- Participate in global project teams supporting process development and manufacturing improvement initiatives.
Experiences/Education - Required
Technical Competencies
- Strong problem-solving skills utilizing structured methodologies.
- Experience with statistical analysis and data-driven decision making.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process control and process capability concepts.
Digital & Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Experience using Power BI, JMP, Minitab, Python, or equivalent analytical tools is preferred.
- Ability to interpret manufacturing data and convert findings into actionable recommendations.
Professional Skills
- Strong project ownership and execution capability.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Effective technical communication and presentation skills.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Experience in advanced manufacturing environments.

- Experience in TFT-LCD, glass manufacturing, precision manufacturing, semiconductor, or related industries.
