Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.



Purpose of the Position

This job is a quality engineering role that would manage the rebuild quality architecture and support the quality systems, such as document control and corrective action. Person will be responsible for execution of quality procedures to successfully meet division and corporate goals and objectives. This job reports into the MFEE Quality manager.


Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Establish and monitor installation best practices
  • Conduct audits of tank installations
  • Assist in determining root cause of issues in the rebuild processes
  • Support the Reliance quality management system
  • Train personnel
  • Manage temporary PDC process
  • Actively contribute to teams that identify and implement process improvements
  • Quality Representative at rebuild meetings


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree and above
  • Certified PEx green or black belt
  • Certified in PQA


Required Skills

  • 5+ years supporting manufacturing – quality, engineering, fabrication
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Experience working across cultures
  • Strategic mindset, considers long term advantage and sustainable decisions


Travel Requirements

  • 10% to 15% Internationally; 40% to 50% In country
