Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.

Purpose of the Position

  • Seeking environmental engineering resource to lead initiatives related to PA (pollution abatement) / WWT (wastewater treatment) design, construction, commissioning, upgrade and operation support of Corning manufacturing infrastructure and associated equipment. Also focus on environmentally friendly products, process, and equipment technology with sustainability

Day to Day Responsibility

  • PA/WWT design, installation, commissioning and start up
  • Extend Sustainability/ESG CoE capability/products to Asia. Across design(research), development and engineering for products and manufacturing process technologies with sustainability
  • Environmental Equipment FAT and issue FAT report
  • Review and implementation JSA (SWMS) with safety team and vendor
  • Issue weekly/monthly report related to safety, schedule, and quality for construction and commissioning
  • Work with Contractor, project team, safety team and site leaders to address any installation and commissioning issues 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and above in chemical or environmental engineering or related field of study
  • Overseas educational experience is a plus
  • Experience in ESG/Sustainability is a plus

Required Skills

  • Background in chemical / environmental engineering
  • Background in ESG / sustainability or related field
  • Experience working effectively with contractors
  • Knowledge of project management practices
  • Knowledge of PA/WWT/Chemical system installation and hook up processes
  • Knowledge of environmental permits/emissions monitoring is a plus

 

Travel Requirements:

May require up to 75% travel for project support mainly in Asia region
