Role Purpose: Will assist in development and execution of GG parts product line strategies, execute parts pricing strategy, interface with regional account teams as key contact point to provide parts quote to win and grow parts business.

 

Responsibilities:

• Quoting for all RFQ requests from AMs (account managers). Executing parts pricing strategy. Driving account team to get more parts opportunities.

• Understanding parts cost model, getting updated cost model from plant, and using plant cost model for quoting. Understanding CMs cost structure. Leveraging CMs cost advantage and glass cost advantage to increase parts win rate.

• Closing RFQ in time. Getting feedback from AMs and customers. Tracking and analyzing the win/loss. Collecting competitive price information. Understanding industry price trend.

• Working with AM to collect parts forecast, verifying parts customers forecast status and drivers of the forecast change to support product line decisions.

• Providing input to glass allocation decision and demand management decision. Working closely with Glass APLM

• Collaborating with AE and AM teams to understand parts customer’s specifications to secure Gorilla performance and value propositions are aligned with customer needs/requirements

• Supporting PLM for new product line strategy – 4Ps. Driving prioritization, development and execution of critical strategy, policy or process

• Working with AEs, AMs and competitor Intelligence teams to understand industry trends and technologies and translate to Product Line Plan, new program and project opportunities.

• Supporting new product introduction operations - inventory management, sample management, customer communication material development

• Providing and maintaining necessary sales tools such as positioning statement, value proposition presentation, etc. to customer facing organizations

• As the owner of RFQ/RFS process and system, working with IT and system admin to maintain and improving the RFQ/RFS system.

 

Required Skills:

• Business degree, MBA preferred

• 3+ years’ work experience in a commercial or strategy function

• Demonstrated knowledge and expertise with analytical models and processes

• Knowledge of computer applications programs (Power Point, Excel, etc.)

• Ability to multitask and work with a diverse group

• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities

• Excellent organizational, communication and facilitation skills

• Approximately 10% travel (domestic and international—to Asia).

 

Desired skills/experience:

• Expertise of analytical skills, ability to build cost model, ability to turn analysis into recommendations on approach.

• Proven track record of working with multi-function team to drive all activities.

• Experience conducting cost analysis, cost modeling, cost reduction.
