Role Purpose
Provide overall leadership and accountability for Corning PCS operations and presence in Taiwan, serving as the senior site and country leader. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, talent leadership, customer engagement, and alignment with Corning’s global PCS strategy, with a strong focus on supporting advanced photonics and Co‑Packaged Optics (CPO) growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the senior leader for Corning PCS in Taiwan, with full accountability for region performance, execution, and alignment to global PCS objectives across all functions (commercial, operations, technology and all support)
• Support leadership responsible for execution of manufacturing, engineering, quality, operations, and support functions in the region.
• Act as a key interface to strategic customers and partners in Taiwan, supporting executive engagement, roadmap planning, issue resolution, and long term relationship building.
• Partner closely with global PCS leadership to execute business strategy, capacity planning, and investment priorities in Taiwan.
• Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management across all site activities, including regulatory, environmental, and corporate requirements.
• Champion Corning culture, values, and talent development, building a strong, engaged, and high performing organization.
Experiences/Education - Required
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology, commercial technology or manufacturing/operations, or general management within semiconductors, photonics, advanced packaging, or related high technology industries.
• Prior experience leading large, multi function organizations with full site or country level accountability
• Strong relationship within the photonics, semiconductor customers and ecosystem within the region.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor and photonics technology, engineering and manufacturing operations and its related high precision environments.
• Proven ability to lead in a global, matrixed organization and effectively partner with regional and global stakeholders.
• Experience working with or supporting strategic customers, including executive level engagement and issue escalation.
• Strong business, communication, and cross cultural leadership skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
Experiences/Education - Desired
• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering or technical discipline preferred); advanced degree or MBA is a plus. Fluency in Mandarin and English strongly preferred.
