Role Purpose
The Business Planning Analyst is responsible for driving the accuracy and reliability of sales forecasts for the Taiwan region. This role acts as the strategic voice of the region, bridging the gap between Account Team and the Division. By synthesizing market intelligence, competitor landscape, and internal sales data, the incumbent provides high-quality demand proposals to enable proactive business decision-making, support the achievement of regional sales targets and for better capacity, production, and inventory plannings.
Key Responsibilities
• Strategic Forecasting: Strategize and maintain a near-to-long term demand forecast by triangulating customer insights with market trends and competitor intelligence to ensure forecast accuracy
• Data Integrity & Maintenance: Ensure the accuracy of master data to support high-quality analytics
• Regional Advocacy & Reporting
- Lead monthly regional sales report-outs to translate complex market dynamics into actionable intelligence
- Serve as the primary liaison for the Taiwan region to ensure regional demand nuances are effectively captured in global planning cycles
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements for forecasting tools and data visualization to drive process efficiency
• Demand-Supply Alignment: Partner with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to synchronize regional demand with supply capabilities, providing data-driven recommendations to mitigate risks of unmet demand
• Allocation Coordination: Facilitate decision-making during supply shortages by providing data-driven insights to help prioritize customer requirements and optimize supply allocation
Experiences/Education - Required
- BA/BS in Business, Data Analytics, or related field
- 3+ years in demand planning/business planning
- Fluent in English
Experiences/Education - Desired
- MBA preferred
- Strong proficiency in PowerBI or SalesForce
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders
