Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.




  • Ingest and clean textual, financial, and material characterization data in preparation for advanced modeling, supporting competitive intelligence efforts in MCE   
  • Assist with development and management of proposals to external consultants for competitive shipment studies, cost modeling, and market share analysis
  • Interface effectively with internal industry intelligence colleagues, competitive and value-chain intelligence, competitive financial analysts, and cover glass market forecasting   
  • Collaborate with the competitive intelligence team to build an automated data pipeline for quarterly market share analysis; support long and short-term forecasting teams as needed
  •  Work closely with Gorilla® glass sales (account teams) & commercial operations in predicting and explaining cover glass share trends and competitive threats



  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related academic curriculum with strong focus on machine learning fundamentals (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Significant achievement in competitive machine learning may substitute requisite education  
  • Proficient in English  



  • Exceptional ability to communicate data and process rigor through outstanding visualization and reporting within our Gorilla® Glass® business intelligence organization
  • Willingness to engineer and implement a robust data pipeline capable of ingesting information from disparate sources on a global scale; ability to work within diverse teams is essential  
  • Ability to generate accurate, punctual and concise reports in a fast-paced environment



  •  Demonstrated programming efficiency for machine learning applications (R/Python preferred) 
  •  Experience with basic navigation of SQL and DataBricks for database management
  •  Experience with feature engineering and general interest in prescriptive analytics     
  •  Experience with Microsoft Teams and dashboards in PowerBI
