The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Location: Taiwan (Taipei, Taichung) SCOPE/PURPOSE OF POSITION: Manage daily operations including escalation of issues and coordination of cross-functional teams, responsible for ensuring the staff are meeting and exceeding expectations in regards to performance, and that standards and processes are followed to provide effective Data, Information and Analytics development and operation support Key Responsibilities: • Provide direction to resources regarding tasks, operations and projects. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Propose and implement resolutions that address the root cause of problems. • Meet discrete goals within the established criteria (time, cost, quality, and compliance), and makes resource allocation decisions • Ensure compliance with IT Operations procedures, work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall quality and efficiency • Frequent contacts with equivalent level managers and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarifications. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives. • Partner with project managers to enable project success and transition to support. • Train, develop and mentor staff members, acts as an advisor to subordinate supervision or staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems • Provide oversight to budgets, schedules and performance standards responsibilities Travel Requirements: • Some domestic and international travel as needed 20% Required Skills/experiences: • Bachelors Degree above (Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems) • 5+ years in an IT or other technical function • 3+ years in people management role, demonstrated supervision, people development and planning skills, with ability to handle changing priorities • Must be a self-starter, able to work in team environment and motivate others • 3 + years of experience of developing business intelligence applications using the Microsoft BI suite of tools (SQL server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI) • 3+ years of Data analysis, complex data reporting models, data warehouse • Knowledge of manufacturing process and manufacturing execution systems • Fluent English & Chinese communication in speaking, writing and presentation, TOEIC 550 and above • Good interpersonal and influencing skills • Experienced working with IT systems in a 24/7 manufacturing environment • Experienced in driving and delivering new capabilities to improve operations that are in keeping with established standards and the overall IT strategic direction Desired Skills: • Familiarity with ITIL framework a plus • Knowledge of project management and software development life cycle • Knowledge of ERP • Knowledge of big data, machine learning • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint • Quality / documentation experience
