Role Purpose
- Responsible for Corning OCS ODM product in Taiwan region for profitable growth. Bridging customer requirements with product execution, ensuring alignment across teams, and driving growth in ODM markets.
- Based on customer VoC, work together with each product line manager and relevant function departments to develop customized solution for profitable growth.
- Enhance communication between APAC PLM and commercial team in Taiwan region.
- Enhance customer satisfaction through product optimization, demos, training and consultant. Secure long-term partnerships with ODM.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration (APAC PLM, commercial, supply chain, and quality etc.) to guarantee timely delivery, quality compliance, and product optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary regional product expert and contact for ODM accounts in Taiwan.
- Support the development and management of product portfolios tailored for ODM customers.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, sales, supply chain, quality, etc.) to ensure timely product delivery and quality compliance.
- Maintain regular communication with the Global H5 team in order to promptly capture ODM opportunities.
- Gather and analyze market and customer requirements and communicate these to internal teams for product customization and development.
- Monitor and report on project progress, market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback.
- Prepare product documents, presentations, and training materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the negotiation of technical and commercial terms with ODM customers.
- Support business development activities, including customer meetings, product demos, and trade shows.
- Assists internal teams in product, quality, and service issues to lead to a quick resolution for the customer, balancing the needs of Corning and the customer.
- Optimizes inventory management by coordinating information flow as needed between Forecasting, Sales, Supply Change Management, Manufacturing, and other parties.
- Identifies opportunities to reduce complexity and cost reduction in the manufacturing process both at Corning plants and the customer site.
- Understands downstream market requirements and understands and assesses competitive solutions and threats and implications for the business.
- Visit customers with Sales/ Marketing/Program Management in order to introduce or gather customer requirements, voice of the customer and present product offerings.
- Optimizes floor pricing levels with RPO by establishing pricing strategy, optimizing product premiums, and ensuring value received for product line in team with Pricing Team.
- Proposes, develops and deploys promotions jointly with sales and marketing.
- Ensure full compliance of products and processes with relevant industry standards and company policies.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Degree/Bachelor’s or similar degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Training/Education cable assembly, optical connectivity or networking preferred
- Experience in Product Line Management or related roles is preferred.
- Experience in Technical Sales & Marketing roles are of value.
- Experience around the Data Center or optical industry is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in product management, project management, or business development within the ODM/OEM industry, preferably in the technology sector.
- Deep understanding of the ODM business model and supply chain.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Mandarin (additional language skills a plus).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Taiwan’s electronics and manufacturing market is highly desirable.
- Fluent English written and spoken. Chinese language also preferred. Knowledge of additional Asian language knowledge is a plus.
