Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

 

 

Job Description:

  • Lead business & system project related requirements collection, analysis, review and prioritization with functional stakeholders
    • Systems covered include: ERP (SAP, PeopleSoft), MES, Logistics & Procurement, Planning, Production Performance Tracking, and Quality
    • Report & Analytics platform such as Dalta Lake, Python, R, Power BI, Qlikview, KNIME, RPA and Tableau;
  • Act as Business leader and working closely with IT and power users, to drive effectiveness in the overall division operation efficiency with assigned project;
  • Lead projects / programs and initiatives, working cross functionally within the business and with IT/external suppliers to deliver required capabilities;
  • Support Business System team to manage project portfolios, review and prioritization processes and budget review and approval processes;
  • Leverage Corning corporate & regional capabilities, initiatives, and expertise to enhance Display analytics, business intelligence and reporting capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver project from initiation to deliverables which enable business capability with business system deployment
  • Deliver analytics capabilities and reports through direct project leadership and engagement with functional customers, leveraging IT or external capabilities.
  • Project/ Program portfolios management with prioritization and budget review cycle.
  • Provide advice, and work with IT from the business perspective to improve architecture performance
  • Process and system alignment and integration across functions: commercial, supply chain, quality, logistics, procurement and manufacturing
  • Evaluate business system roadmap with business process optimization team and business system group to optimize resource and deliver by project roadmap.

  • Project objectives / scope and deliverables with financial control

 

Desired Competencies (knowledge, skills and behaviors):

  • Strong business acumen
  • SAP S/4 Hana, IBP planning system and process knowledge
  • Analytics knowledge on AI, machine learning, algorithm development, business intelligence techniques
  • Skills and experience in end-to-end supply chain (Plan, Source, Make, and Deliver) or Development and Engineering, or Finance
  • Ability to:

Experience/Education:
Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Technical, Business, SCM, or IT)
  • 10+ years Project Management experience in delivering business and system related project and program management
  • Global work experience, working across regions and cultures.
  • Experience leading global teams, including matrix assignments

 

Desired

  • Master’s in Statistics, Data Science, Business or Supply Chain Management / Computer Science.
  • Business Analysis Certification
  • SAP functional consultant Certifications
  • Supply Chain / Logistics Certification and experience
  • LEAN or Six Sigma Certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience across multiple businesses, division and/or technologies.
