Role Summary:

Data and technology have revolutionized industrial manufacturing, transitioning operations from manual processes to automated, system-driven approaches. Corning is developing innovative digital solutions for its business divisions and seeks a passionate, skilled Data Technical Leader to build data-driven investment products for reuse, speed, and scalability. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Data Architect to spearhead the creation of data-driven investment products that prioritize reuse, speed, and scalability.

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive data solutions using modern analytics technologies. You will collaborate with various teams to deploy scalable data pipelines that support data transformation, integration, analytics, and business intelligence requirements. You will leverage your experience in software development, data modeling, and ETL processes to build high-performance automated systems and scalable data solutions.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement efficient data pipelines using Databricks, DBT, and other technologies to process and store data
  • Automate data transformations and aggregations using CI/CD practices to ensure high performance and reliability
  • Develop comprehensive data architectures and maintain data governance frameworks to ensure data quality and security
  • Design, build and maintain data models and data flow to deliver enterprise shareable data product/datasets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from various sources, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Lead data-centric projects, ensuring solutions meet business and regulatory requirements.
  • Work within Agile/DevOps frameworks to deliver solutions through iterative sprints.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in data warehouse design and development, data engineering, and software development experience
  • Strong proficiency in data model, database table design and writing/reviewing complex SQL queries, Python and DBT experience
  • Experienced in implementation data modeling and data pipeline on AWS Cloud, Databrick or Qlik
  • Capable of assessing business requirements and performing complex data computations and analyses, with the ability to effectively report findings.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry data domains such as SAP Supply-chain/Logistic or Planning or MES is preferred
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team setting
  • Able to conceptualize, plan, document and communicate effectively
  • Quick learner, adept at adapting to rapidly changing tools and environments
  • Strong skills in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and critical analysis
  • Fluent in English, with excellent skills in both written and spoken communication
