Finance Distribution Controller, Corning Life Sciences

But we can’t do it without talented people like you! This role is the North American Distribution Controller within Corning Life Sciences. This individual will partner with site leadership, the Division Supply Chain Controller and Supply Chain to deliver key financial, strategic, and business objectives. This individual will ensure compliance with local regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, Corning and site policies and procedures and US GAAP. This individual will have responsibility for leveraging resources as needed to deliver financial expertise and appropriate decision-making support. This individual must be a solid business partner to drive appropriate decision making across the site and related areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Lead at the site. Key member and decision maker of the site staff. Provides ongoing Finance expertise and decision support to enable the achievement of goals and objectives.
- Designs and manages Finance programs, processes, and procedures (e.g. closing, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, inventory tracking) that enable improved cycle time and better decision making in support of the achievement of corporate, site, function and business goals and objectives.
- Partners with site leadership and operations teams to develop and implement KPIs and robust processes that ensure effective inventory management and adherence to internal financial controls, including data and reporting standards and compliance procedures (e.g., Sarbanes Oxley regulations, internal and external audits).
- Performs the closing process to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and consistency of reporting with US GAAP, statutory, and tax accounting requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and other distribution locations to ensure the accuracy of standard costing and intercompany activity.
- In conjunction with the Supply Chain Controller, develops monthly forecasts and annual plan. Delivers actionable reporting on monthly results in comparison to forecast and plan and provides insights and perspectives on appropriate actions required to address variances.
- Partners with CLS Finance team resources for Finance activities and project work within the scope of Supply Chain processes.
- Serves on various plant, division and corporate project teams on ad-hoc basis. Providing financial analysis and internal control support to ensure compliance and decisions based on financial data.
- Supports Supply Chain strategy and project decisions.
- Performs ad hoc responsibilities in support of Division Finance Manufacturing Leadership Team.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or equivalent technical degree required
- MBA/CPA Preferred
- 5+ years of distribution, manufacturing, or relevant experience, controller experience preferred
- Proficiency in Excel / PowerPoint, general ledger systems, forecasting tools
- PeopleSoft, SAP, Khalix/Longview, and Performance Excellence knowledge (Six Sigma, lean processes) preferred
Hybrid role after completion of training and onboarding.

The range for this position is $78,269.00 - $107,620.00. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
