Role Purpose
Corning Life Sciences (CLS) is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated Business Applications Coordinator to support and enhance our Salesforce CRM environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing data, improving business processes, supporting users, and developing technical expertise in a fast-paced global organization.
As the Business Applications Coordinator, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity, quality, and reliability of customer and business data within Salesforce. You will support daily CRM operations, troubleshooting issues, manage user requests, develop documentation, and contribute to system enhancements that help our global teams work more effectively.
This position works closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and other cross-functional teams to ensure Salesforce remains a trusted and effective business tool.
Key Responsibilities
- Salesforce CRM Administration & Data Management
- Maintain and administer Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and CPQ).
- Create, update, and manage account, contact, lead, and case records.
- Identify and resolve duplicate records while maintaining data integrity.
- Manage record ownership transfers and user-related updates.
- Maintain product and product lifecycle management (PLM) records within Salesforce.
- Ensure new products are properly tagged and configured for reporting purposes.
- Set up and manage sample product availability within Salesforce CPQ.
- Lead & Case Management
- Manage lead assignment queues and ensure leads are routed appropriately.
- Maintain and update lead assignment rules for global sales teams.
- Review and resolve records within case management and junk email queues.
- Reassign approvals and open cases when users become inactive.
- Reporting & User Support
- Create, modify, and maintain reports, dashboards, and list views.
- Develop and maintain email templates and automated communications.
- Support internal Salesforce users by troubleshooting issues and answering questions.
- Provide user training and guidance on Salesforce processes and functionality.
- Communicate system updates and changes through Salesforce Chatter and other channels.
- Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain user guides, job aids, and "How-To" documentation.
- Support system enhancements, upgrades, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and CRM optimization projects.
- Ensure compliance with established data standards, business processes, and governance requirements.
Experience & Education - Required
- Associate degree required.
- Salesforce Admin Essentials (ADX201) certification or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of Salesforce.com experience as an administrator, power user, or related role.
- Experience supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- Experience with Salesforce CPQ is highly desirable.
- Experience with Salesforce and Marketo integration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data quality, data cleansing, governance, or related activities.
- Understanding of business systems, process workflows, and data controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, particularly for data management and analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate records.
Experience & Education - Desired
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Salesforce Administrator certification.
- Experience supporting international or global business teams.
- Knowledge of ERP or enterprise systems such as Oracle or Microsoft platforms.
- Experience documenting business requirements, process flows, decision trees, and procedures.
- Experience supporting cross-functional CRM or ERP initiatives.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Communities and Salesforce CPQ.
- Experience with data quality and cleansing tools such as DemandTools, Workbench, or similar solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and organizational efficiencies.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service mindset with a collaborative approach.
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
- Sense of urgency and accountability.
- Positive, hands-on, solutions-oriented attitude.

The range for this position is $74,973.00 - $103,088.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
