Overview
Corning is seeking a Manager, Global Supply Chain Systems Operations to lead the stability, performance, and operational governance of the ERP and integrated platforms that power our global supply chain. In this role, you'll be the operational bridge between business teams, IT, vendors, and leadership — ensuring our procurement, inventory, order management, and logistics systems run reliably across regions, every day.
Primary Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead global production support, incident and problem management, and root cause resolution for ERP supply chain modules (Purchasing, Inventory, eProcurement, Order Management).
- Monitor batch schedules, EDI/API interfaces, and middleware dependencies; partner with infrastructure, database, network, and security teams to maintain platform stability.
- Manage operational governance — user access reviews, audit/SOX controls, runbooks, SOPs, and escalation procedures.
- Lead a team of support contractors and partner with vendors; set priorities, balance workloads, and oversee delivery performance.
- Track and report operational KPIs, SLAs, and system availability to leadership; drive automation and continuous improvement to reduce manual effort and strengthen resilience.
- Provide IT representation and operational readiness support for major supply chain projects, releases, and hypercare activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years supporting enterprise applications, with significant experience in PeopleSoft Supply Chain.
- Working knowledge of supply chain modules (Purchasing, Inventory, eProcurement, Order Management) and related business processes.
- Experience leading global production support, incident management, and problem management in a service operations environment.
- Experience with batch processing, job scheduling, interface monitoring, and enterprise system integrations.
- Experience with ITSM and Project Management tools such as ServiceNow, Planview, or similar.
- Experience managing user access, operational governance, and audit/compliance controls.
- Experience managing contractors, vendors, or external support resources.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing or supply chain operations in a global enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with EDI, middleware platforms, and third-party supply chain applications (3PL, WMS).
- Experience with operational reporting, KPI dashboards, and service governance reviews.
- Exposure to SOX controls, audit support, and regulated operational environments.
- Experience leading continuous improvement, automation, or process standardization within ERP support.
