Purpose of the Position: The HR Analyst manages all aspects of HR process, data and analytics in support of Human Resources service delivery for the Life Sciences division. This includes managing all core cyclical HR processes (schedule, deployment to HR team, monitoring and report outs). The HR Analyst will also lead initiatives related to HR metrics for the division. This role requires a process-minded team player with a bias for action and strong attention to detail. This position includes HR generalist activities to support the division capacity expansion projects.

  • Ensures HR programs / processes / policies meet or beat quality and delivery expectations
  • Supports all HR programs and policies, establishing and reinforcing Corning Values and positive work environment, while complying with all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Manages end-user HRIS and data reporting/analytics processes for division; provides backup support for position management and system maintenance
  • Ensures HR key stakeholders fully understand the value, benefit, and use of HR tools / programs / processes / policies. Manages/ensures standards and guidelines are understood and consistently applied.
  • Identifies employee value proposition issues affecting turnover and works with HR manager to identify actions for improvement

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Leads the implementation/administration of HR cyclical processes for the division including developing division timeline, tailoring deployment materials, monitoring and reporting out progress towards timeline and providing summary and roll-up reports for HR leadership
  • Provides appropriate council and support to managers and employees on HR processes/programs, may involve training and troubleshooting
  • Acts as subject-matter expert for HR system (SAP Success Factors), provides support to data stewards as backup for position management and data entry. Monitors and maintains integrity of data contained in HR systems for which he/she is responsible. Leads system audit process.
  • Leads all division level metrics, analytics and reporting. Maintains and develops reports and analysis tools, ensures timely updates, and provides organization and distribution of reports for use by human resources managers and business leadership.
  • Gathers and analyzes data on the performance and impact of HR programs / processes / policies, highlights areas of concern or improvement, and creates reports and presentations as requested to ensure achievement of targeted results.
  • Maintains databases to track and monitor activity on functional initiatives including talent management, diversity, leadership development training, etc.
  • Supports HR programs and initiatives for the division as assigned. Recommends/implements areas for standardization of HR programs / processes / policies, as appropriate, to reduce complexity of administration and associated costs.
  • Involved in planning, implementation, administration of most or all of the following human resource functions: employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, organizational development, affirmative action, and health and safety services programs
  • Ensures compliance with HR-related legal and regulatory guidelines

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1 - 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent
  • Work experience in administrative and project roles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. the ability to query, run reports, sort data, analyze results, setup dashboards, etc.)
  • Experience of HRIS systems both data and reporting (SAP SuccessFactors PeopleSoft, or equivalent)
  • Successful track record in the administration of HR or Business processes or programs
  • Successful track record of continuous process/product improvement using defined methodology
  • Successful track record in fast-paced work environment (taking initiative, working independently & handling multiple priorities)
  • Able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
