The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

 

Role Purpose:

The ERP Transformation office is commissioned to drive the company’s multi-year enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformation from 31 disparate and aging ERP systems across Corning to 3 instances of SAP S/4 HANA. The consolidation of Corning’s current ERP application environments onto a common platform will enable the delivery of enhanced functional capabilities, business efficiencies, increased agility, and a lower ERP cost structure for the company.  The ERPT team will ensure Corning has an enterprise-wide approach to the transformation supporting the migration of our businesses before, during, and after their implementations.

 

As the Enterprise Platform Lead, Reporting and Analytics, you are a key member of the Enterprise Platform Design and Standards team.  Responsible for collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders to understand S4 reporting needs and translate them into effective solutions.  The role offers the opportunity to shape the ERP Transformation’s reporting and analytics strategy, in collaboration with Corning’s broader digital strategies.  Inaugural project will be to execute a proof of concept with SAP Analytics Cloud.

 

THIS PERSON NEEDS TO BE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF EITHER CHARLOTTE, NC OR TEWKSBURY, MA OR CORNING, NY.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set standards, best practices and the ERPT framework for report design, and accessibility, while ensuring compliance with data governance policies and practices.  Stay updated with new features, capabilities, and updates in SAP S4 and SAC
  • Obtain a deep understanding of Global Template processes and integrated landscape
  • Partnering with other Enterprise Platform Leads to understand program reporting needs and translate them into effective solutions using SAP S4, SAP reporting tools such as SAC or Datasphere or other analytics capabilities.
  • Work with our business and functional process partners to develop reporting roadmaps that best positions our investments in SAP and meet our program objectives and ongoing business process improvements.
  • Provide strategic input for the evolution of Citizen reporting practices in ERPT
  • Help prioritize with business stakeholders and program leadership the report development backlog, focusing on delivering value and enhanced business performance
  • Partner with other ERP Transformation teams e.g., Change Management to develop shared collateral and embed new ways of working
  • Be an active participate in the broader Corning reporting and data communities

 

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 25% domestic / international

 

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business / business analytics, Computer Science, or related program. A master’s degree or relevant certifications would be considered an asset.
  • Minimal of 8-10 years progressive experience in relevant professional experience
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization, in a highly matrixed structure
  • Priority setting in alignment with project priorities and overarching strategy
  • Ability to break down complex business / technical challenges into simplified, manageable goals and drive to timely decisions to solve
  • Must be highly analytical and have problem-solving and design skills

 

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience in designing processes or visualizing reports in an SAP S4/ECC or other major ERP, in one or more process area e.g., requisition to pay, order to cash
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.  
  • Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
  • Demonstrated leadership, innovation, and continuous learning mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing business and technology needs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements.

The range for this position is $122,882.00 - $168,964.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
