Scope of Position:

This position reports to the Supply Planning Manager. The Supply Network Planner (SNP) is responsible for the development of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) over an established rolling horizon period and agreed-upon frequency, with global product line focus. With a scope of 0-24 months, the SNP is responsible for converting unconstrained, forecasted product Demand into feasible, capacity constrained short term and long-term Supply Plans for the manufacturing sites. Working closely with each site's Production Planner and Operations, the SNP role entails a focus on the optimization of both supply and inventory, to manage/balance global inventory by product line. The SNP role has ultimate accountability for global inventory for assigned product lines; working with regional partners to ensure alignment of local stocking strategies and balanced inventory replenishment throughout the DC network. The SNP is a key participant and contributor to the Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP). The position is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of all applicable master data related to Supply Planning, to achieve optimized supply plans.

  • Develop an executable MPS for Manufacturing, which balances customer service, material availability, plant capacities and targeted inventory levels
  • Develop inventory and safety stock targets to balance supply and demand with service targets
  • Proactively identify short term supply and demand gaps and propose solutions; proactively create and deliver appropriate communications to key internal stakeholders and trade partners
  • Develop and action allocation strategies with input from key stakeholders during supply shortages
  • Provide long term supply plans, as input into plant capacity and capital planning
  • Conduct global product line capacity modeling/analysis
  • Work closely with the Demand Planning to understand world-wide product demand
  • Lead monthly plant Supply Consensus meetings as part of the S&OP process, and work closely with the Production Planner and Plant Operations to drive alignment of supply plan and production plan, in order to ensure sufficient finished goods supply to meet world-wide demand
  • Monitor and report key service metrics that support shared objectives between supply chain and manufacturing
  • Work closely with regional distribution centers to establish regional inventory stocking levels that meet service targets, and align with global targets
  • As product line SME, work with manufacturing to maintain and optimize planning parameters
  • Monitor slow moving and excess inventory, and support customer returns process
  • Support system integrations, new product introductions, product line transfers or product discontinuation projects, as required
  • Develop analyses and reports related to inventory level projections, recovery plans, capacity requirements, performance metrics, etc. as required
  • Utilize ERP and reporting systems to create inventory alert management tools to identify and address gaps for resolution
