Role Purpose

This role ensures compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations by implementing clearly defined EHS practices aligned with Corning global standards. The EHS Engineer supports risk identification, regulatory execution, and continuous improvement to maintain safe and compliant factory operations and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute monthly environmental regulatory reporting by collecting required data, completing standard forms, and submitting reports according to government timelines.
  • Perform routine EHS risk assessments by identifying hazards, participating in risk rating, and documenting findings.
  • Support EHS improvement actions by tracking corrective and preventive actions and following up implementation progress.
  • Update internal procedures in response to new or revised regulations based on defined legal registers and guidance.
  • Deploy Corning EHS policies by translating requirements into site-level practices and coordinating related activities.
  • Deliver EHS training sessions and provide on-site consultation based on established materials and standards.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Health, or similar disciplines.
  • Basic knowledge of Taiwan EHS regulations, including ability to identify applicable laws, understand compliance requirements, and execute tasks under established procedures.
  • Basic EHS risk assessment capability, including hazard identification, participation in risk evaluation, and support of corrective or preventive actions.
  • Basic understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 structure and requirements, with experience supporting implementation or audits.
  • Ability to clearly communicate EHS requirements to site personnel and coordinate routine matters with cross-functional teams.
  • English proficiency at intermediate level or above, sufficient for reading procedures and basic professional communication.

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Experience EHS activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with data analysis or performance tracking tools such as Power BI or similar.
  • Exposure to additional EHS systems such as TOSHMS is a plus.
  • Experience supporting projects or action tracking activities.
