NPI Manager

Role Purpose

• CPO NPI development and technological research supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• NPI activities from proto-type to mass production. Project management, leadership and yield improvement. 
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, planning, and supply chain.
• Develop and manage NPI project schedules, milestones, and deliverables (On Time Delivery).
• Ensure product builds are completed on time and meet quality, cost, and manufacturability targets.
• Review BOM, process flow, SOP, and engineering changes for production readiness.
• Drive trial runs, pilot builds, line setup & product qualification.
• Identify and resolve issues related to technology, process, materials science, fixture(tooling) design, and yield improvement.
• Monitor production ramp-up status and support smooth handoff to MFG mass production.
• Track project risks (yield, quality and defects) and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• External and internal communication need for project status, issues, between production line and progress to management and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement in NPI processes and manufacturing efficiency such as CT reduction and PCPD.
• Train and supervise PE NPI team members to ensure execution of NPI requirements and problem solving.

Experiences/Education - Required

• Master's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in NPI, technology development, and manufacturing in production line, with 3-4 years of people management experience.
• Solid knowledge of product introduction, development phase transition, pilot run, production ramp-up, and process control.
• Strong leadership, project coordination and cross-functional communication skills.
• Experience with BOM, SOP, ECN, config. drawing and manufacturing documentation (working instruction).
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent in people management & leadership, KPI/performance metrics setup need.
• Good English communication skills.

Experiences/Education - Desired

• Familiarity with SPC control, FMEA and Lean manufacturing.
• Experience in cleanroom working environment & manufacturing equipment's installation preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project execution.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills need.
• Experience in new product transfer, process validation, and engineering change implementation.
• Prior experience in regulated or high-technology manufacturing industries is an advantage.
