Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Exciting position for Sr. Quality Engineer in growing and stable contract manufacturing company focused on Cable & Harness, Electro-Mechanical box builds, and Fiber Optic cables and integration.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily testing activities, reporting, and communications

• Lead ongoing qualification and reliability activities with a focus on monitoring, metrics, and manufacturability

• Collaborate with various functions to drive root cause and corrective actions on complex quality issues

• Drive and monitor quality improvements in product lines and coordinate with engineering development

• Develop and incorporate appropriate disciplines and processes to design for qualification, maintain and improve reliability benchmarks

• Maintain ISO certification and implement quality controls

• To establish and maintain high standards of quality and reliability for the company;

• Organize and promote companywide quality improvement efforts

• Evaluate and develop improved techniques for control of quality and reliability

• To act as liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality system

• Report on performance of quality systems as basis for improvement.

 

Job Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in Quality Assurance/Control in contract manufacturing environment.

• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 audit process and procedures.

• Thorough understanding of NPI and FAI processes

• Certification/training in areas of statistical methods and practices.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills required.

• Must have a hands-on work ethic and excellent computer skills.

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment a must.

• Priority will be given to applicants with college degree or equivalent
