Role Purpose
Corning’s summer internship experience is rich with hands-on learning. As our intern, you will be involved with the manufacturing of Pharmaceutical glass. You will provide environmental expertise for the process support systems related to the overall production of the glass and all supporting systems within the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Support environmental compliance with respect to air, waste, water, noise, and regulated chemicals.
- Identify potential sustainability-related improvements and present findings or progress reports at team meetings
- Work with facilities/maintenance resources to implement EH&S-related projects
- Support Health & Safety activities as needed
- Basic work hours are 40hrs/week; 8am-5pm
Required Education and Experience
- Enrolled in BS or MS program related to Environmental / Civil engineering, Chemical engineering, or similar field
- Relevant lab or internship experience a plus
- Ability to work in a plant environment and with external contractors
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Flexible - able to adapt and modify plans as situation demands
- Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
- Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

Desired Skills
- Experience with Six Sigma DMAIC principles
- Familiarity with environmental permitting and regulations
- Exposure to Gensuite or other EHS software platforms

The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
