Scope of position:

Develop and execute a product line and supply chain strategy that supports the achievement of desired sales growth and profitability across four CPG global tubing plants.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop market insight through strategic assessments of the Market, Customer, Competitors, and CPG Capabilities.
  • Understand downstream market requirements and articulates to manufacturing to assure alignment with customer requirements.
  • Develop the product strategy to differentiate CPG and to maximize revenue / GM.
  • Monitor competitors’ global capacities and global tubing demand of converters to forecast market dynamics and maintain related databases.
  • Monitor import / export statistics to gain intelligence on volumes and pricing of product used by customers / sold by our competitors and provide periodic reporting and insight.
  • Manage the planning, forecasting and inventory process: Develop monthly, quarterly, annual and long-range demand forecasts with input from the sales team from each region.
  • Manage the capacity allocation between manufacturing plants by analyzing NWC, specific capabilities and customer qualifications.
  • Monitor NWC development and makes recommendations in order to achieve targeted NWCDSO metrics.
  • Help facilitate demand conflicts to achieve optimal results for both the customer and the business.
  • Work with Manufacturing and Sales to identify opportunities to reduce complexity and achieve cost reduction in CPG’s sites, as well as in the customer’s process.
  • Monitor and enforce key LTSA covenants including rebates, expedite fees, MOQ surcharges, and logistics detention fees.
  • Monthly reporting of actual sales performance versus plan.
  • Participate on NPD teams to expand CPG’s customer base / portfolio.
  • Develop business in adjacent markets such as frit, powder, and specialty tubing.
  • Manage a portfolio of customers producing pharmaceutical glass packaging. 

 

Required Education and Skills: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Business
  • 7 to 10 years work experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Commercial; Glass or Pharma industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing projects and leading global teams.
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Advanced excel skills.

  • Work experience in a customer facing role
  • International business work experience
  • SAP experience (ECC or S4/Hana)
  • Financial analysis and accounting experience
  • Multilingual

The range for this position is  $97,472.00   -  $134,024.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
