Scope of Position:  In this role, you will work under the direction of a Team Leader performing packaging, maintaining cleanliness of production floor, along with other manufacturing responsibilities.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Manually unloads products from the machinery
  • Follows specifications for labeling and packaging
  • Able to run automated equipment when assigned and perform proper operation of packaging equipment
  • Performs quality checks and inspect products for defects.
  • Interprets data using charts and takes appropriate action
  • Works to support good manufacturing practices based on safety, quality and production
  • Performs miscellaneous related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Observes all safety rules and OSHA regulations and performs job in a safe manner.
  • Follow standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and 5S


Required Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.

 

Physical Demands:

 

  • Standing 7 or more hours/day
  • Walking 7 or more hours/day
  • Lifting 10 – 50 lbs/day.  With good body mechanics
  • Twisting: Moderate twisting
  • Bending: Frequent bending
  • Reaching: Moderate reaching
  • Squat/Kneel: 1 – 3 hours/day – Need not be continuous
  • Manual Dexterity: Good manual dexterity and coordination
  • Vision: Requires near and far 20/20 vision and accurate visual depth perception with correction must be maintained.
  • Hearing: Requires hearing whispered voice at 8 feet (FAA Class II)
  • Temperature: Work environment range from 35 F to 115 F depending

on seasons.

  • Slippery Surface: Work on surfaces that are slippery (glass on floor)

 

 

 

 

The starting pay for this position is ​$24.48 hourly rate.  Compensation and benefits available for this position are dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
