Scope of Position:  In this role, you will provide coordination and supervision for all manufacturing areas and support functions for operations.  We look for in your support of these areas to include directing and implementing activities to meet production goals and metrics.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • You will need to ensure the safety of employees and process/equipment
  • Daily leadership to meet manufacturing schedules and deadlines
  • Prioritize workload to meet demand and maximize manufacturing efficiency
  • Assign specific tasks, provide direction and check work
  • Interact cooperatively with engineering, quality, planning, etc. to meet goals
  • Handle employee timecards and payroll interface logistics
  • Recommend and support process/equipment improvements
  • Maintain manufacturing metrics tracking and reporting
  • Lead or facilitate manufacturing related team meetings
  • Continuous improvement of efficiencies and workflow to improve overall performance
  • Initiate and/or suggest opportunities to develop employees team skills
  • Train and develop employees on a regular basis
  • Contribute to company’s identified goals and objectives
  • Handle special projects as assigned by the Manufacturing Department Head/Manager
  • Implement corrective action related to process variations, equipment malfunctions, or operations endangering the safety of personnel or facility
  • Evaluate shift team and individual performance and delegate responsibility, authority, and accountability accordingly

 

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 

  • Rotating 12-hour shifts; 6am – 6pm or 6pm – 6am; this shift will rotate every 2 weeks
  • Shifts - 2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off; every other weekend off

 

Required Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred
  • Associates with 3-5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing will be considered

 

Required Areas of Experience:

  • Experience working on technical problems or teams
  • Ability to work varied hours, shifts, and days
  • Professional customer service/people skills, ability to train, coach, and direct others

 

Required Skills:

  • Building effective teams, compassion, conflict management, developing both direct reports and others & listening

 

Desired Skills: 

  • Experience working within a manufacturing facility, employee relations and safety, health, & environmental compliance

The range for this position is  $79,166.00   -  $108,854.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
