Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Purpose


Are you passionate about transforming global supply chains with advanced analytics and cutting-edge technology? Join our team as the Global E2E Network Architect, Fiber, where you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying advanced fiber supply chain network modeling and optimization tools. These tools will enable rapid, data-driven decision-making to optimize the dynamic, global fiber supply chain, encompassing production planning, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.

In this role, you will combine deep analytical expertise, supply chain knowledge, and innovative problem-solving to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service levels in the fiber industry.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced global supply chain network modeling tools to optimize production planning, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Develop network models that:
    • Support responsive scenario modeling and sensitivity analyses to evaluate trade-offs and recommend optimal solutions.
    • Leverage advanced analytics and algorithms for data-driven decision-making.
    • Provide a globally integrated supply chain planning tool for regional and global fiber planners.
    • Assist the fiber demand management team with optimized sourcing decisions for near-term planning.
    • Enable manufacturing scenario planning for capacity and capability expansion.
  • Ensure seamless integration of tools with existing ERP and planning systems for efficient execution.
  • Build scalable and automated solutions for global use.
  • Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to establish robust data pipelines and system integration.
  • Lead documentation, training, global deployment, and user adoption of planning tools.

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Proven experience collaborating across diverse functions, including commercial, supply chain, finance, and engineering.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

 

Desired Qualifications

 

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP) and analytical tools.
  • Experience with analytics, decision intelligence, and AI/ML platforms.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ERP and supply planning tools.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP), APS systems (e.g., Kinaxis, o9), Optimizers (e.g., Gurobi), and Simulators (e.g., FlexSim).

The range for this position is $114,006.00 - $156,758.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
