Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
Be part of a dynamic team where you can apply your knowledge and experience to solve complex problems to improve manufacturing cost & capabilities. Provide problem solving-troubleshooting support to production operations and for plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs technical duties and activities within prescribed time frames
- Participates in and sometimes leads projects to improve overall efficiency and quality
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and make necessary adjustments.
- Takes initiative to identify, develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
- Maintains and ensures confidentiality of information/ materials
- Gives periodic status reports in written and verbal formats
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and promote a safe work environment.
- Document procedures and process changes, maintaining accurate records.
- Interacts with others at same level, and one level above, to ensure continuity and efficiency
Experiences/Education - Required
- High School Diploma/GED and 8+ years of work experience in manufacturing or technical area
- Data Analysis Skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Microsoft Suite (Power Point, Word, Excel) Experience
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
- SQL and Power BI experience
- Experience with DMAIC Tools

The range for this position is $66,718.00 - $91,738.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
