Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Role Purpose

  • Oversee and own the supply chain operations within the plant, ensuring seamless execution of processes across various functional areas.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for the plant supply chain's effectiveness and efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Supply Chain functions of Procurement, Production Planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Shipping/Receiving, trade compliance, and contingency planning.
  • Collaborate with Product Team and Product Line Managers to obtain understanding of customer value.
  • Provide technical and operational support to Supply Chain functions.
  • Partners with business leaders to identify and communicate appropriate performance metrics to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Work with Product Line Managers to understand demand model and drive synchronization of orders.
  • Managing cutover and inventory transition during product changes.
  • Collaborates with Regional Planners to ensure capacity strategies are implemented.
  • Collaborate with key suppliers and provide forecasting inputs.
  • Identify and prioritize risk mitigation requirements.
  • Prioritize cost reduction opportunities for GSM.
  • Provides any direction in the implementation and continues improvement of logistics solutions through the distribution’s phases.
  • Optimizes the capacity for transportation and warehousing at the lowest cost while fulfilling business objectives.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain Operations
  • Expertise in supply chain processes, including production planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Financial acumen with understanding landed cost and VAT to drive decision making
  • Strong Cross-Cultural Communication
  • Proven leadership and change management skills

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or technical field
  • Professional certification in supply chain management, operations, or engineering (APICS, PMP, Six Sigma)
  • Understanding of process flow from fiber to finished solution
  • Experience with SAP

The range for this position is $135,540.00 - $186,368.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
