Scope of Position:

In this role, you will be reporting to a study director, the position will perform a range of in vitro ADME assays (ex: enzyme induction and inhibition, reaction phenotyping and transporter-based interactions) to support pharmaceutical clients in accordance with study protocols and company standard operation procedures (SOPs).  Perform all duties in keeping with the Company's core values, policies, and all applicable regulations.  The successful candidate would have the opportunity to interact with multidisciplinary project teams.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine in-vitro ADME assays following established procedures.
  • Responsible for planning, performing in vitro metabolism ADME studies for discovery and development stage compounds.
  • Provides scientific knowledge and responsible in establishing new ADME assays as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of the current ADME assays
  • Assists study directors with the preparation and interpretation of bioanalytical data.
  • Timely interprets and files study data to design next steps.
  • Laboratory support including equipment set-up, calibration and operation; test article and solution preparation; data collection; documentation (both written and electronic) in accordance with operating procedures
  • Works closely with the study director to ensure the requirements of our clients are met
  • Assists study directors in performing research studies including researching information to develop new methods and procedures for testing, data acquisition, data analysis, writing sections of the journal article.
  • Attends scientific staff meetings including the Studies meeting and other mandatory company operational and training meetings.


Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal travel including attending conferences.
  • No international travel is required.


Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

  • Standard business hours, Monday – Friday.
  • 40 hours/week


Required Education:

BS degree with a minimum 1year or MS degree with 0-1 year (PhD can be considered) of experience in Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, or relevant industry experience in the field of drug metabolism.


Required Abilities:

  • Ability to conduct cell culture experiments and work with primary cell.
  • Extensive knowledge of cellular and molecular biology and/or biochemistry.
  • Trouble-shooting skills for assays and instrumentation.
  • Excellent team player, actively participating with others to perform duties as assigned and achieve desired goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must know Word, Excel, Power point.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Ability to work under specific time constraints.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to work on multiple projects to meet predetermined deadlines.
  • Experience with invitro drug metabolism and drug-drug interaction including but not limit to metabolic stability, enzyme, induction and inhibition, reaction phenotyping and transporter-based interactions.
  • Familiarity with current practice in ADMET technologies e.g., solubility, protein binding, CYP induction studies is desired.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with strong scientific curiosity, experience locating and applying information in the scientific literature.
  • LC-MS knowledge
  • Ability to independently identify problems and develop solutions.
  • Ability to work independently or effectively work with team.
  • Potentially growing into a study director.
