Role Purpose
The Woodland & Murphysboro Plant Manager is responsible for the overall safety, operational performance, quality, cost, delivery and talent development of the Woodland and Murphysboro manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Regional Manufacturing Manager, this role provides end-to-end site accountability for the production of serum products, while ensuring compliance with regulatory, quality, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Own overall plant performance, including Safety, Health & Environmental, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Inventory
- Develop and execute a site operating plan aligned with division, business, and manufacturing strategies
- Lead daily operations across Production, Warehouse, Planning, Logistics, and Plant Facilities
- Ensure manufacturing capability and capacity to support commercial demand and growth
- Drive Lowest Cost Manufacturing, improved inventory turns, and margin performance
- Maintain reliable operation of all plant assets and infrastructure
- Ensure process discipline and technical rigor across manufacturing activities
- Build and sustain a high-performing operations leadership team
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable culture
- Deploy and sustain a safe, compliant, and inclusive work environment
- Ensure adherence to ISO 13485, FDA Quality System Regulations, USDA and internal quality systems
- Lead site readiness for audits, inspections, and regulatory engagements
- Ensure environmental, health, and safety regulatory compliance at all times
- Actively enforce adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (QOPs), Master Manufacturing Records (MMRs), and other relevant practices
- Review production, financial, and performance metrics to identify gaps and drive corrective actions
- Communicate performance results clearly across site and functional leadership
- Drive step-change improvements in productivity, quality, service delivery, and cost
- Support real-time troubleshooting of process, equipment, and formulation issues.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree required (Biological sciences, chemical sciences, or bio-medical engineering preferred)
- 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing or life sciences with progressive responsibility in operations and/or engineering leadership
- Proven record of delivering results through people, process, and technology
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Data-driven decision-making and analytical problem-solving capability
- Customer-focused, results-oriented mindset
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience with biological or regulated manufacturing environments preferred
- Experience with multisite oversite preferred

The range for this position is $185,169.00 - $254,608.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
