Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for inspection equipment used by customers.
  • Visit customer sites for installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair support
  • Understand customer requirements and offer appropriate technical solutions
  • Perform the installation and initial setup of new inspection equipment at customer sites.
  • Ensure the system is operating correctly and conduct initial testing.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Offer technical advice to customers to optimize system performance and efficiency
  • Update and maintain technical documents and manuals related to inspection equipment.
  • Write reports after customer visits documenting installation and inspection results.
  • Gather customer feedback and provide insights for product improvements.

Required Education and Experience:

  • BS and above in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

Required Skills:

  • SQL query analysis should be available for data analysis, PC environment and event analysis
  • Need a basic understanding of 2D Vision & relative parts(Camera, illumination)
  • Good English or Korean comprehension in speaking, writing and reading
  • Strong skills in code standardization, modularization, and excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Documentation: Excellent Excel, power point, word
  • have basic knowledge of Robot and Automation systems.
  • Knowledge of software used to configure and monitor inspection equipment (e.g., control systems, diagnostic software).

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding data flow over the network.
  • Strong understanding of inspection equipment and related technologies..
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and understanding their needs
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to create user-friendly training materials and provide hands-on guidance
  • Proficiency in writing and maintaining technical manuals and documentation..
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and changing environment, adapting to customer needs and new technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Interpersonal skills – engaging, enabling, open
  • Ability to collaborate with internal customers around the world to achieve business goals
