Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Scope of Position:

  • Execution of lab tests and proper data documentation & analysis
  • Data collection and analysis to support technology development
  • Support prototype demonstration & technology migration in China

 

Education

  •  MS degree or above and major in Mechanical or Engineering related field

 

Skill Requirement:

  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Good at English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Possess strong work ethics and attention to detail with excellent organizational skill
  • Able to design prototypes for offline proof of concept or online demonstration based on the process concept
  • Advanced degree in engineering preferred
  • Proficient in 3-D CAD system (Solidworks, AutoCAD preferred)
  • Proficiency in equipment design, machining, and commissioning.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

 

Experience:

  • Working knowledge of physical phenomena (static and dynamic physics, heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics, etc.) with a strong background in machine design
  • Knowledge/experience in materials processing equipment
