Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Purpose of the Position: To lead the Wuhan Plant logistics team to provide superior service to both internal and external customers. This involves ensuring the timely supply of goods, raw materials and consumable. In addition, you will be expected to maintain high operational efficiency while ensuring safety measures are strictly adhered to. To ensure compliance in all Custom related work and daily work. Day to Day Responsibilities: • Oversee efficient import/export operations and handle MRO/Material duty exemption processes. • Manage forwarder performance, covering KPI evaluation and freight payment requests. • Supervise import/export management, ensuring accurate custom clearance and timely delivery. • Implement suitable processes for receipt and dispatch of goods, maintaining precise inventory without shortages. • Execute shipping plans and ensure on time delivery to meets agreed-to customer expectations. • Manage FS/FG/Packing Material/MRO parts inventory to set up good layout and processes to manage overall logistics operations. • Manage 3PL vendor performance to support daily operation needs of business. • Set up cycle count process and organize physical counting. • Manage warehouse operation excellence on material handling to meet plant safety and security and IA policy. • Work with Division Logistics Team and planning team to develop logistics operation plans to ensure lower cost and reliable supply. • SAP/CCMS/MES system transaction operation and warehouse relating reports. • Provide logistics solution and continuous improvement. Project involved with: Reporting Structure: • Chain Region Logistics Manager Direct reports: Education & Experience • Bachelor degree or above, major in international trade, Supply Chain management, Logistics, Transportation or related field is preferred. • 10+years working experience in manufacturing warehouse management, Custom related work, or supply chain management. • 5+ year team management experience • 6 sigma green belt or above, lean expert certification is preferred. • Project experience is preferred on warehouse automation or SAP. Required Skills • Experienced in customs, CIQ rules, and import/export procedures. • Works independently with proficiency. • Fluent in English - written and spoken. • Excellent in data analysis and leadership. • Skilled in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Desired Skills • Logistics design. • People management experience • Good safety awareness • SAP experience Soft Skills • Excel in communication and possess a quick learning ability with a solid grasp of common sense. • Effective team player with notable leadership qualities and a detail-oriented approach. • Driven by data for informed decision-making and focused on results. • Adept at working under pressure with limited resources. • Hands-on professional with meticulous attention to detail.
