Corning Incorporated is seeking a Specialist, Requisition Operations to join our team in Painted Post, NY. This is an onsite position supporting day-to-day transactional procurement and requisition operations in a manufacturing environment, with a standard Monday-Friday schedule and flexibility as needed.
This position supports efficient purchasing and supplier payment processes by managing sourcing requests, resolving invoice and requisition issues, and helping ensure alignment with Corning’s approved buying channels and procurement policies. The role works closely with requisitioners, suppliers, Shared Services, Finance, and Global Supply Management (GSM), making it a strong fit for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working across multiple systems and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing and requisition-related requests to support business operations and procurement objectives
- Partner with requisitioners, suppliers, receiving, and Shared Services to resolve invoice issues, identify root causes, and support corrective actions
- Support local procurement activities and help ensure alignment with approved buying channels, category strategies, and Global Buying Policy requirements
- Coordinate supplier setup and onboarding activities to support accurate data management and timely transaction processing
- Prepare and process GSM and Finance waiver requests in accordance with company policies and approval requirements
- Compile, analyze, and share purchasing and operational data with stakeholders, leadership, and GSM
- Participate in process improvement, cost reduction, and other cross-functional operational projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Associate degree in supply chain, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing operations, planning, engineering, supply management, procurement, or purchase order processing
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external suppliers
- Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to turn data into actionable information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team setting
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with procurement systems such as PeopleSoft, Ariba, SAP, SharePoint, Concur, or advanced Excel
- Exposure to procurement, contracting, cost analysis, or supply chain processes
- Experience supporting global manufacturing or business operations
- Performance Excellence experience and/or participation in team or project leadership efforts

The range for this position is $63,000.00 - $86,625.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
