Join our Quality team and play a key role in ensuring world-class manufacturing performance through robust quality systems, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes. This is an exciting opportunity to partner with Engineering and Operations teams while leading initiatives that enhance product quality, process consistency, and customer satisfaction.
What is your role?
The Quality Engineer III is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that support manufacturing excellence and compliance with customer, ISO, and industry requirements. This role serves as a key technical leader for APQP and NPI activities, root cause investigations, quality improvements, and process optimization initiatives.
The position works closely with Engineering, Operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches, effective problem resolution, and continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities

- Strong aknoledge in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and NPI- New Product Introduction
- Develop, implement and maintain Quality systems to meet the requirements of production, ISO 9001 and TL 9000
- Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns
- Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen, lean methods, process consistency.
- Develop training to build quality awareness
- Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to production of new products are in accordance with customer requirements
- Support process to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system
- Create and maintain updated company quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
- Provide statistical analysis and support to engineering and production as related to quality issues.
- Responsible to lead the team when Customer Notifications arrive and assure the closure of the actions regardless which department caused the failure
- Participate on Process improvement porocess
- Internal/External ISO auditor, demonstrate experience auditing processes, systems
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience managing product transfers, New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, and manufacturing transfers across multiple production sites.
- Experience leading or participating in quality improvement and project development initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, NPI, and AIAG Core Tools.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
- Project Management experience.
- Full professional proficiency in English
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- MBA.
- Experience with TL 9000 quality systems.
- Experience creating and maintaining:
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFD)
- PFMEA
- Control Plans
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Internal and External Audit experience.
- Knowledge of fiber optics manufacturing processes.
- Experience with Minitab, Visio, Microsoft Project, and quality analytics tools.
