Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Day to Day Responsibilities
•Design, develop, and maintain software applications, tools, and system enhancements based on business requirements.
•Analyze user needs and technical specifications to create effective software solutions.
•Support system integration activities between internal applications, databases, and third party platforms.
•Collaborate with business users, IT teams, analysts, and project stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
•Maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, coding standards, and support procedures.
•Support software releases, patches, upgrades, and post-implementation activities.
•Ensure applications comply with security, data protection, and company IT standards.
•Provide technical support for developed applications and resolve production issues as needed.
•Stay updated on emerging technologies, development tools, and best practices to support continuous improvement.
Education&Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development MES,ERP, application support, or systems engineering.
Required Skills
•Be good at SQL Server and strong knowledge of programming languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, SQL, or other relevant technologies.
•Be good at data analysis experience (Power BI)
•Experience with IT system of manufacture.
Desired Skills
•Databrick experience.
•Active work attitude, good learning ability and good communication.
