Quality Engineer

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Manage APQP activities for assigned programs such as PPAP, Quality gates, MSA, production sign off, safe launch etc.
• Lead 8D committee for customer complaint investigations and responses, including problem statement, containment actions, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions, prepare and submit 8D reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
• Follow up and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions to prevent recurrence of customer issues.
• Work as the liaison between engineering, materials, purchasing, management, quality and production to ensure that new products meet quality and delivery goals.
• Serve as the primary Quality contact for the customer for new products and products during APQP.
• Evaluate impact on the product/process from new or existing: raw materials, processes, and/or equipment parameters 
• Track customer quality performance, Coordinate return material authorization (RMA) and customer quality issues to reduce quality cost.
• Participate in set up internal quality Architecture

Experiences & Education

• Bachelor and /or above degree majoring in in a technical discipline such as Chemical, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering;
• Familiar with APQP, PPAP, SOP readiness, and mass production quality management.
• At least 3 years or above of Customer/New quality management and manufacturing experience in Auto, cover glass, or display module.

• Ability to drive quality issue solving with all different levels of organization.
• Knowledge of process control/process discipline, SPC, DOE, Statistics, DMAIC and Total Quality methods, also the 8D report create.
• Strong knowledge of quality management system IATF16949/ VDA6.3.
• Good English speaking and writing.
• Effective use of Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint as needed to fulfill key responsibilities.
• Experience in customer facing function team is preferred.
