Job Title: Product Line Manager, Laboratory Glass Job Scope: Product Line Management of the following categories: • Reusable Glass • Disposable Glass Day to Day Responsibilities: • Drive top line sales growth and manage S&A spending in order to achieve Sales and AGM targets • Assist in the development and execution of the 5-year glass business strategy • Manage glass business product life cycle • Lead annual pricing process for glass business • Assist in the development of sales tools and technical training programs for all internal and external customers • Continuously monitor competitive activity and market dynamics • Maintain effective, regular communication with international and domestic Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Forecasting Departments • Effectively interface between business operations, contract manufacturing group (CMG) and the Monterrey, MX manufacturing plant • Provide input to the annual commercial plan and budgeting processes • Develop, communicate, and maintain all relevant marketing content on the CLS Web site • Work closely with Supply Chain to develop and maintain accurate product forecasts • Monitor out-of-stock situations and communicate up-to-date information on backorders to all stakeholders • Establish, track and manage service levels according to designated metrics • Special Projects and Task as defined by the Business Director, Glass and Equipment, in support of CLS Business Initiatives • Communicate effectively with commercial operations on all critical product information • Maintain competitive cross-reference for glass Travel Requirements: • 10-20%, Some international travel required Hours of work expected: 40 hours per week Education: • BS or BA degree required • Science degree preferred • MBA desired Required Skills: • Strong leadership skills • Ability to think strategically • Strong knowledge of marketing tools and techniques • Strong business opportunity assessment and financial analysis skills • Excellent communications skills – written and verbal • Strong negotiation skills • Understanding of product development process; ability to drive new products projects as the commercial lead • Decisive, risk taker • Passion for the business with a “can do” attitude Desired Skills: • Basic understanding of glass manufacturing processes • Creative, able to think “out of the box” • Good team skills, able to work in dynamic environment and interact with others • Product development experience • Knowledge of market, products, technology, and customers Soft Skills: • Strong leadership skills • Change agent; positively and proactively supports and leads change • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects • Results-oriented • Strong customer focus
