Nuestro segmento de comunicaciones ópticas acaba de evolucionar de ser un fabricante de fibra óptica y cable, hardware y equipos para convertirse en un proveedor integral de soluciones ópticas líder en la industria, abarcando la industria de comunicaciones más amplia. Este segmento se clasifica en dos grupos de productos principales: red de operador y red empresarial. El grupo de productos de red de portador consta principalmente de productos y soluciones para infraestructuras de comunicaciones de fibra óptica para servicios como comunicaciones de video, datos y voz. El grupo de productos de red empresarial consta principalmente de redes de comunicación por fibra óptica dirigidas a negocios, gobiernos y personas para uso propio.

 

Purpose of Position.   

 

With an understanding of both regional market strategies and communications best practices, the communications specialist for Mexico will assist with the development and execution of regional communications plans to support Corning Optical Communications’ business objectives for both internal and external audiences.

A Communication Specialist is a versatile professional who plays a vital role in shaping an organization's image, fostering relationships, and conveying key messages. They contribute to both the internal and external success of the organization by employing effective communication strategies that resonate with target audiences and stakeholders.

 

Major responsibilities and tasks of the position.

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative content for various communication channels, including newsletters, press releases, social media posts, blog articles, and internal communications. Emphasize crafting content that is optimized for social media platforms.
  • Social Media Management: Lead the organization's social media presence by creating and curating high-quality, visually appealing content for different platforms, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Spotify. Manage the organization's social media presence, creating and curating content, responding to comments, and analyzing engagement metrics.
  • Messaging Strategy: Craft clear and compelling messages that align with the organization's goals, values, and target audience. Ensure consistent messaging across all communication platforms and social media platforms.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive media coverage. Prepare and distribute press releases and manage media inquiries.
  • Internal Communication: Assist in the development and execution of internal communication plans to keep employees informed and engaged. Support town hall meetings, workshops, and other internal events to facilitate communication. Use social media platforms for internal announcements, updates, and recognition. Work closely with regional communications manager to develop deep understanding of market strategies and business objectives through collaboration with regional marketing teams.
  • Crisis Communication: Implement crisis communication plans to manage potential reputational risks. Provide timely and accurate information during challenging situations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage key stakeholders, including customers, partners, investors, and community members. Foster positive relationships and address their communication needs.
  • Brand Management: Ensure that all communication materials align with the organization's brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent and professional brand image.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze communication efforts' effectiveness using various tools and metrics. Adjust strategies based on insights to optimize outcomes.
  • Event Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute events, such as product launches, conferences, and webinars, ensuring effective communication before, during, and after the events.
