Nuestro segmento de comunicaciones ópticas acaba de evolucionar de ser un fabricante de fibra óptica y cable, hardware y equipos para convertirse en un proveedor integral de soluciones ópticas líder en la industria, abarcando la industria de comunicaciones más amplia. Este segmento se clasifica en dos grupos de productos principales: red de operador y red empresarial. El grupo de productos de red de portador consta principalmente de productos y soluciones para infraestructuras de comunicaciones de fibra óptica para servicios como comunicaciones de video, datos y voz. El grupo de productos de red empresarial consta principalmente de redes de comunicación por fibra óptica dirigidas a negocios, gobiernos y personas para uso propio.

Planning Supervisor

 

Scope of Position:

Works in conjunction with production, PLM, quality, divisional supply chain, technology and plant management to plan and execute to deliver high level of service and cash flow performance. Identify and resolve capacity constraints to support volatile demand. Develops and recommends plant inventory management strategies and lean tools to gain efficiency and drive solutions. Provide direction, vision, and supervision to plant planners. Serves as a subject matter expert for planning, inventory management and ERP system use.
 

Key Responsabilities

  • Supervise the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of all activities and support required for delivery of products to customers
  • Participate in monthly plant S&OP Partnership meetings to gain joint understanding and agreement at regional level
  • Develops and utilizes capacity models and tactical operating plans. Participates in demand/allocation management process.
  • Accountability for raw material and finished goods inventory goals driven by strategic stocking decisions based on contract, business strategy, or material availability needs
  • Drive continuous improvements utilizing lean and six sigma supply chain tools (Value stream mapping, Kaizen, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Reports and ensure plant meets targeted objectives for all delivery metrics including On-time Performance, Order Cycle Time, and order dating
  • Manages and supports new product implementation, for the final release to manufacturing operations

 

Education and experience:

  • Bachelors in Supply Chain or related field (Industrial Engineering, Business International, etc)
  • +5 years’ experience in supply chain
  • Fully bilingual
  • APICS certification is a plus

 

 

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and solve complex problems
  • Ability to work independently in a complex business and manufacturing environment
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience leading teams
  • Proficiency on MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
  • ERP systems knowledge
