As a Supply Chain Manager, you will lead cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, quality, and commercial teams to build efficient supply chains, optimize operations, and deliver exceptional value to customers.
What is your role?
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain, from suppliers to customers, to support business objectives and create sustainable competitive advantage. This role partners closely with global and regional stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, drive customer satisfaction, manage costs, and ensure alignment between business strategy and manufacturing execution.
Major responsibilities and tasks of the position:
- Evaluates and improves overall supply chain process and systems to enhance supply chain effectiveness between supplier, customers and Corning.
- Creates lean, end-to-end supply chains to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of orders to customers in the most cost efficient way.
- Balances manufacturing capacity and production schedule with customer demands.
- Links the Product team strategy to the Manufacturing strategy.
- Works with manufacturing team and external vendors to ensure product delivery, quality and cost.
- Collaborates with product development team, strategic sourcing, regional logistics and trade compliance management to meet business objectives.
- Creates development plans with direct reports, aligned with business, product, and individual development needs.
- Develops short-term supply chain operations plans consistent with long-term objectives.
- Insures all regulatory and compliance measures are met within global guidelines and local regulations.
- Tracks, communicates, and supports key metrics to achieve plant and product team objectives.
- Leads cross-functional project teams to drive and deliver cost and service goals
- Creates and executes budget for plant supply chain.
What do you need to have?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of supply chain experience across multiple disciplines, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Proven experience leading teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders in a complex business environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, inventory management, logistics, sourcing, and manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and deliver business results.
- Experience working across regions, cultures, and global organizations.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and financial understanding.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Supply Chain Management.
- Professional certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, CPM, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- Experience leading large-scale supply chain transformation or optimization projects.
