What is your role?

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will partner with the Plant HR Manager and business leaders to drive workforce strategies that support plant performance and organizational goals. You will play a key role in delivering HR solutions across the employee lifecycle, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Corning's Values, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations, company policies, and global HR standards.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, leveraging data, talent insights, and HR best practices to strengthen employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and business results.

 

What will you do?

  • Partner with the Plant HR Manager to execute HR strategies, initiatives, and key people processes that support plant objectives.
  • Analyze workforce trends and HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, headcount, and demographics, to identify opportunities and inform business decisions.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on employee relations, performance management, talent development, corrective actions, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead and support employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, internal mobility, employee transitions, and offboarding processes.
  • Promote consistent application of policies, practices, and labor relations processes while maintaining a positive employee relations environment.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to operational excellence by balancing employee needs, organizational priorities, and budget objectives.

What you you need?

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience Human Resources experience, preferably focused on labor relations.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or operations-based environments.
  • Fluent English.
  • Proven experience managing employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and employee transitions.
  • Demonstrated success implementing HR programs, policies, and business initiatives
  • Ability to interpret workforce data and HR metrics to drive recommendations and actions.
  • Strong consulting, coaching, and influencing skills with leaders at all organizational levels.
