Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Purpose of the Position:

• Responsible for Material Planning, Import & Export, P&T, supply chain management and warehouse operation.
• Optimization all above activities to ensure the delivery of products to our customers, from materials acquisition to distribution. 
• Maximize plant profit through the optimization in PPV, MUV and MCV.
• Primary contact and responsible in engaging government in term of import & export activities.
• Responsible for regional and local continuously improvement SCM projects.
• To lead the supply chain all functions’ team

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Develop department long term objective and strategy to sustain & growth of business.
• Continuous improvement to maximize working efficiency and effectiveness of SCM organization.
• Ensure P&T activities per government & Corning policy. 
• Strong leadership to ensure all activities being met per plant & department objectives.
• Lead SCM team to ensure continued, uninterrupted flow of production
• Lead Purchasing team to develop and maintain reliable, high-quality source of supply under the assistance of Quality department.
• Launch cost reduction project periodically.
• Lead planning team to be responsible for overall capacity planning, demand planning, material planning, inventory control, support the on-time delivery of products, and sales recognition.
• Lead Shipping team to develop and maintain reliable shipper source to guarantee the on-time delivery of materials and finished goods.
• Lead Logistic team to improve warehouse layout, inventory space utilization, inventory booking accuracy and picking productivity.
• Communicate with government departments to ensure all import, export carried out smoothly.
• Control the department budget.
• Complete other job assigned by immediate supervisor what is required for this position.
• Maximize plant profit through reduction in PPV, MCV and MUV.
• Ensure ISO, SOX, EHS compliance and government policies/regulations compliance.
• Comply all company EHSS rules (Include: Policy, Procedure, SOP and other requirements)
